Outline of the Presentation:
- Democracy: as “superstructure”, and as social mores
- The last half century: from authoritarianism to democratization
- Transition: from modernizing Cardoso, to redistributive Lula
- Economy: the stability of the Real Plan, and the China bonanza
- Politics: from representative to a “participative” democracy?
- Inequalities, redistribution: how far, how long, by which means?
- Brazil and emerging powers: time for a declining economy?
- Protests: not a Spring moment, not Autumn, not even a Winter season of discontent, just a mess around
- The Big Divergence: “democracy” from above, democracy from the streets; and a concealed corporatism?
- Which lessons can be drawn from the current situation in Brazil?

Estimado professor,
Seria possível solicitar que gravassem a mesa redonda e a tornassem disponível no YouTube?
No mais, desejo sucesso e fico feliz em ver nossa nação representada, desta vez, por alguém que ama os livros.
