The Decline of Russia
“The goal of the free world is not to negotiate with Russia, but to speed up the collapse of the system that keeps it captive. Russia no longer has the resources or strength for a total war with the West, and the Kremlin regime is in irreversible decline.”
❝Putin cannot capitulate, because that would mean his political and, most likely, physical end. He will fight to the last Russian soldier. But the problem is not only Putin, it is the entire Russian Federation, this pseudo-empire, which is doomed. The economy cannot endure, and society is collapsing. Crack the system a little, and the fractures will spread through the whole state.
Without war, the regime loses its very purpose. That is why we must not delude ourselves into thinking we can negotiate with it. The only real dialogue with Russia concerns the terms of its capitulation to the civilized world.
Europe, the United States, and Ukraine must together show Russia what power truly means. Only then can there be genuine dialogue, not about compromise, but about surrender.
If we force Russia to stop the war, it will begin to retreat. But true victory is not the restoration of the 1991 borders, it is the destruction of the fascist regime that rules Russia today. Only then can there be real peace.
If the regime does not fall, we will forever remain in the same position—merely waiting for the next attack.❞
— Ukrainian diplomat Volodymyr Ohryzko
