Revised data showed that America’s economy grew by 3.9% in the third quarter at an annualised rate, a quicker pace than had been thought. A first estimate had put growth at 3.5%, but failed to reckon for rising consumer spending. GDP rose at an annualised 4.6% in the second quarter; America’s economy has had its best six-month performance in more than ten years. Seearticle
