Cuba and Brazil hold inter-foreign ministry dialogue
At the meeting, Rodríguez was grateful to once again have Brazil’s valuable and traditional support for the resolution of the United Nations General Assembly on the need to end the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States against Cuba.
She also recognized Brazilian leadership within the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) and the G-20.
The Brazilian counterpart highlighted the results of Cuba’s presidency of the G-77 and China during the year 2023 and the island’s activism in multilateral negotiation forums, the source detailed.
Also present on the Cuban side were Ana Silvia Rodríguez, director of International Organizations, and Carlos de Céspedes, director of South America at Minrex, as well as other directors and officials of the Foreign Ministry.
Gilda Motta, director of the Department of International Organizations, and other officials from Itamaraty and the Brazilian embassy in Havana also participated for Brazil.
